The £400k project will bring significant upgrades to:

Facility Improvements

Infrared Benches:

Heated infrared benches provide health benefits by using infrared light to directly heat the body, which can help with pain relief, muscle recovery, improved blood circulation, detoxification, stress reduction, and skin health. The experience and benefits are similar to those of an infrared sauna, but the benches can often be used at lower ambient temperatures.

Cold Therapy:

Cold plunging, or cold-water immersion, offers a range of potential benefits, including reduced muscle soreness and inflammation, improved mood and mental resilience, and enhanced circulation. It may also contribute to better sleep, improved immune function, and potentially even boost metabolism.

Himalayan Salt Therapy:

Salt Therapy – also known as halotherapy, can offer a range of benefits, primarily focusing on respiratory and skin health, as well as stress reduction. It involves inhaling dry salt particles, which are said to help clear airways, reduce inflammation, and improve skin conditions. Additionally, the calming environment of a salt room can promote relaxation and potentially improve sleep.

Reopening Date:

Open from Wednesday 8th April 2026, the new look Verulamium Spa Retreat will introduce a new era of recovery, combining contrast therapies within a restorative spa environment to support both body and mind.

We look forward to welcoming you very soon to Verulamium Spa Retreat!
